Whispering Tales Farm

Raising Nigerian Dwarf milk goats in Nebraska

Bucks

Adult bucks on our farm are all herd sires, which means they've all been used in our breeding program at least once. Listed oldest to youngest.

CH Old Mountain Farm Keilan Quinn  DOB: 5/13/2010

Keilan Quinn is a very nice buck who has added very nice udders and conformation to his doe offspring. He became a permanent champion in 2015, meaning that he had three first place wins. He was Best Buck in Show at the 2015 Mid-America Goat Show in Sedalia, MO. One of his 2011 daughters (Keitlan) won Best In Show at the Sioux Empire Fair (South Dakota) in August 2011, two Grand Champion awards as a junior in 2012, and became a permanent champion in 2015. Almost all of Keilan's daughters do well in the ring. As he stood in the line-up for Best In Show bucks at the Land of Oz Show in 2013, the judge said he was the most dairy buck in the ring. When he won Best Of Show at Mid-America in 2015, the judge said compared to bucks of all the other breeds, 'he had it all.'

Wildwind Farm R Junkyard Dog DOB: 6/19/2010

Junkyard Dog is definitely not from the junk yard. He's a great looking buck with a sweet personality who came to us in 2013. His offspring have been nice looking kids. We're anticipating good things from him.

Whispering Tales Clousseau DOB: 3/22/11

Clousseau is about as well proportioned as a buck can be. Everything matches. In addition, his mother (Whispering Tales Strawberry) has a phenomenal udder. She won two grand championships as a first freshener in 2011 and earned Permanent Grand Champion status in 2012. Which means Clousseau contributes body and udder as a herd sire.

Crane View Barnabas DOB: 3/14/11

Barnabas is not only a sweet buck but he throws very nice, correct kids (lots of girls!). His mother has an incredible udder from what I can see from photos. We used him a lot when we got him in 2013 so he may be for sale soon. If not, it's because I love him his personality so much I can't bear to let him go.

Serfling Farms SK Dr. Pepper DOB: 5/8/2013

When I went to Serfling Farms to buy another buck, Dr. Pepper took hold of my coveralls and wouldn't let go. I picked him up (he was just 5 months old), and he hugged me. Good grief! Thank goodness he was a beautifully crafted buckling because of course I bought him. This is an older photo of him but he is beautiful and throws really nice kids. Both his sire and dam are finished champions.

Yearling Bucks

Whispering Tales Dancer DOB: 12/24/2013

This is a rough looking photo of Dancer - he was in rut when I took it. He's a nicely proportioned sturdy buck. He and his sister and brother were born on Christmas Eve, so of course their names are Prancer, Dancer and First Noel.
